How I'm feeling in the end of June

A raw look at tracking a heads-down sprint on my wall, overcoming the fear of launching, and moving from code to sales for my AI recruitment platform. No more hiding behind perfectionism.

I started a self-challenge on June 18th. The entire challenge had only two rules: work on my product and my body. No content, nothing else. It has been close to 9 days now, out of which I missed 3. I have been working constantly on the product, but I am still fighting the fear of whether it is good enough for someone to use, which makes me want to keep perfecting it.

If I had been able to resolve this fear at any point earlier in my life, I would be in a much better place. My other startups might have succeeded, I would be in a better place in my relationships, and I wouldn't have behaved like a broken, numb guy who just wants solitude. I would have done right to the people who were there for me when I was broke. Maybe I wouldn't be writing about this in a blog right now. But as Steve Jobs said,

You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards.

Looking back at my past, I started out doing all kinds of odd jobs: selling SIM cards, working as a gym trainer, and convincing people to open Upstox accounts just so I could get the referral money. After that, I opened four different shops on Etsy, got banned twice, moved into graphic design, and finally transitioned into coding. I have always worked hard, but never the right way. I did everything that was required, but I always feared taking that final action.

I am still in that same place, but I am trying to get better every single day. I want to make my AI recruitment platform the best in the world and an essential tool for the future of hiring, at least if it can genuinely solve a problem.

On June 18th, I set these targets for myself, and I am putting them out here:

1. Work on improving the product every single day, even if it is just a small change.

2. Get better at not just building, but thinking, and become a better software developer.

3. Get my slipped disc into good shape so I can sit comfortably (this is going really well).

4. Learn more and read more books.

5. After June 30th, stop building and start selling, with no more updates until I make a sale.

6. I will share the last target before July 27th.

I tried to give you all my advice in a piece of content, I failed at it, and then posted again, and I really want to post without fail. However, I don't really have a phone to shoot video with right now because it heats up too much. Besides, I don't want to allocate time to sharing tips on Instagram right now; I want to focus on improving my product. Even so, I sometimes feel like I should share updates anyway, because it is always those low-quality videos that seem to work, haha.

I will keep working on the product. The end date of October 7th on the picture doesn't mean anything; I just had that much time blocked out, so I wrote it down until that day.

I hope you are enjoying your life the way you want to. Be extraordinary, while still keeping your common sense. See ya.
